Overview
ReviewGap turns Google reviews – yours and your competitors' – into plain-English gap analysis. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control of it.
Information we collect
- Account details you provide – your name, email, and business information.
- The businesses you choose to track – your business and any competitors you add, by name or by searching a map radius.
- Publicly available Google review data for those businesses, sourced through licensed third-party data providers – not by accessing your Google account.
- Basic usage data, so we can keep the product working and improve it over time.
How we use it
We use this information to generate your gap-analysis reports, deliver your digest on the cadence you've chosen, keep your account running, and communicate with you about your account. We don't use your data to train models for anyone outside your account, and we don't sell it.
What we don't do
We never ask for or store your Google account credentials, and we never post, review, or reply on your behalf. Everything we read is already public on Google Maps.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies for authentication and basic analytics – nothing used to track you across other sites.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time by contacting us. If you're in a region with additional data rights (such as the EU or California), those rights apply to you in full.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy, we'll let you know by email before it takes effect.
